Here are the changes made to my Double Page Spread the first change i made was to add more lettering that would go on the top of my magazine 

I then added some more elements that would be placed at the top and bottom of the commentary

I then duplicated my main image and the reversed it i also changed the lighting of the second image to make the image look lighter

Design Process of My Double Page Spread

Here is a step by step guide on how i created my double page spread. At first i use the image that used on my contents page. I then uploaded this onto an A3 template on Photoshop.

I then made a background by using the rectangle shape tool i then used the same tool to make a black rectangle. Then used the text tool to type the heading ARMY OF TWO which will be placed on top of the rectangle the writing is in white so that it can be seen clearly.

I then wanted in my interview with the army of two first i made a little background then added in the commentary

Research into Conventions of Music Magazines

In this analysis I will be giving an insight into the different codes and conventions that you will expect to find in different music magazines. I will be talking about two music magazine double page spreads, one form NME Magazine and the other from Q Magazine. To present my findings i took two images of the internet which were magazine covers i then annotated them both. I then took screenshots of my annotations and then saved them as images and then i uploaded them as you see.

Even though i was happy my my contents page i felt there were still some changes to be made the first change i dis was to add an email address to go along side the title contents i also used the rectangle shape tool and place the shape next to the CONTENTS title. Then i used the text tool to type in relevant text i also added in my masthead.

I then applied a filter to my image because i felt it will suit the background color more the filter i applied was called Fresco

I then changed the positioning of some elements

Here is a step by step guide on how i made my Contents page using Adobe Photoshop CS6. Firstly i had taken a picture of the duo "ARMY OF TWO" that would feature on my magazine i took a picture of them standing back to back.

I then took this picture into Photoshop and then got rid of the background by using the lasso tool at first i tried using the magic eraser tool but it did not refine the edges properly.

Once this was completed i applied a background color by using the rectangle shape tool. I then used the text tool and used the font Haettenschweiler to type CONTENTS also the font color is black

Once this was completed i used the rectangle tool and place this rectangle at the bottom of the page i also added some text things like the twitter page of A Magazine i did this by using the text tool i then made the text color white so it could be seen clearly

i then added the in the features of my magazine i would place these on the left hand side of my magazine i used the Haettenschweiler font for these

Even though i was happy the way my front cover was looking i wanted to make slight changes to make the front cover more professional firstly i added a title which which go at the very top of my magazine i felt that there was space to be utilized, i did this by using the rectangle tool and fill tool to make the rectangle black i then used the font Impact to type in the title.

I then wanted to change the color of my strap lines i wanted the text to vary from green and black the effect of this was that i contributed to the house style of my magazine also i added in one more caption i used the font Haettenschweiler and the font color was black

I then wanted a black thick outline over the text "everybody loves me" to do this i highlighted the text i then clicked on modify then border

I then wanted the text to be slanted to do this i highlighted the text i then pressed T and then rotated the text until i was happy with the angle

i then wanted to apply a filter to my image to make it blend in more to do this this i selected the image i then went into filter gallery and chose Sumie i then changed the contrast to 21

i also added a bar code

This is the design process of my music magazine i had created my front cover using Adobe Photoshop CS6. Firstly i had taken the image that would feature on my music magazine.

I then used the magic eraser tool and the crop tool to get rid of the background i also enlarged the image

I now wanted to create my masthead because my music magazine is called A Magazine i wanted the letter A to be the base of the Masthead to do this first i had used the shape square tool and used the fill tool to color the square shape red.

I then used the rectangle tool and made a rectangle and the colored it in black this went next to the red box i then used the type tool to make the relevant text i used the font IMPACT this was the font used for the A. I then used the font hattenschweller to make the word magazine this text would go on top of the black box. i then changed the color to white so the wording could be seen.

Now i was happy with the masthead i wanted to make the strap lines that would appear on my Front cover the strap line would be names of artists that would feature in my magazine i use the hattenschweller font and then colored the text in red to make the lettering standout

I then wanted for text to appear on the picture to act as if the artist has a message for the readers i used the Ebrima font i then colored in the text in white and green

The last thing i wanted to do was to make a background for my magazine i did this by using the rectangle shape tool and made the rectangle an off white color i then wanted to the shape behind all of my other elements to do this sent the shape down the other layers

Results From Questionnaire

Here are my results from my Questionnaire i have presented them by using pie charts

From my findings i have concluded that the majority of students reading my magazine would be males. The kind of music magazine that would most likely read is a Hip-Hop magazine. The majority of people that would read my magazine are ages from 18-21. Finally from my finding i have gathered that the main purpose that people read magazine is to find out the latest gossip from the music industry. From these results i have gathered ideas for my music magazine.

Music Magazine Questionnaire

Before designing my magazine i had to research the demographic of my magazine. I will be gathering this information from a primary source which is from students who are interested in music. To do this i ave created a questionnaire which would feature a few questions which would help me decide the genre, the audience and finally the purpose of my magazine here is a screenshot of the questionnaire which was created using Survey monkey (click on music magazine questionnaire to view)
